Description
Our design team had brainstormed how should we twist our original mascot “Wapuu” for WordCamp Bangkok 2019, and finally came up with “Hanuman Wapuu” which was inspired by Hanuman, a famous character of a Thai classic masked play called Ramakien.
Biyoke Madavisid (Ying), the designer who took this assignment said it was quite challenging to combine the meticulous Thai art with the cuteness of Wapuu. But with her skill in designing mascots, Biyoke simplified the details of Hanuman and added some little humor to it, so the new joyful Hanuman could blend in very well with the adorable Wapuu. She finished the design only within a day!
