Dear Community,

Each member of the organizing team of the fourth edition of WordCamp Managua 2018 firmly believes in the principles of democracy, freedom and life, both in Nicaragua and in the world.

From our contribution in favor of responsible education we watch over the development of our beloved homeland. Therefore, among our main commitments are always the ideals of providing a quality event and above all that does not compromise the safety of the attendees. Therefore, we would like to share the following points with you:

In light of the events that our country has experienced, WordCamp Managua 2018 is suspended until further notice. The committee continues to evaluate dates and security measures so that the event takes place without endangering the attendees, speakers and organizers.

Our traditional Wednesday of Web and Friday of Beer of the month of May are canceled, like expression of the mourning and the solidarización on the part of the WordPress Community of Nicaragua.
If some point was left unfinished or someone has a personal question, we will be happy to answer them by messages on our networks, the #wordcamp channel of wpnicaragua.slack.com, or by email at comunicaciones@wpnicaragua.org

Likewise, we thank all those who have kindly written to us asking for the well-being of our team, for the enthusiasm and good that everyone has for making this WCMGA2018 a successful event.
